I started at Salt River Project just under eight years ago as a GIS mapper and CAD drafter. Currently, I am part of a very small group that designs and develops training for an organization of roughly 800 people that help build and maintain Phoenix’s distribution system. We create instructor-led trainings, computer-based trainings, videos, and job aids for our workforce. I recently kicked-off a pilot project to
provide a Virtual Reality experience for our utility locators and to hopefully bring VR Training to SRP. I have been in training for seven years now and before my time at SRP, I was an elementary and middle school teacher.
