Aaron Van Pelt is currently Chief Commercial Officer at QLM Technology and has over twenty years of experience in product development and marketing in photonics, gas sensing and analytics. For the past 15 years he has brought to market solutions for emissions monitoring and quantification, particularly for the natural gas industry. As Vice President of Product Strategy at Picarro Inc., he focused on launching several gas sensing technologies including the now gold standard for atmospheric GHG measurements, and he launched the first technology to be termed “Advanced Leak Detection,” subsequently included in the Congressional Pipes Act of 2020 as a requirement for PHMSA to codify for use in leak survey for safety and emissions reduction. He was a Senior Research Scientist at Physical Sciences and managed photonics products at New Focus Inc. and has physics M.S. & B.S. degrees from Washington State University & the University of Wyoming, respectively.
