Ilya graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His
background includes specialty fiber optic cable design as well as design of medium voltage cable and
pressurized connector assemblies for downhole electric motor Oil & Gas applications. With EPRI, Ilya’s
primary role has been research into low and medium voltage cable aging management and testing
methodologies for nuclear power plants. Along with this role, Ilya has been investigating adoption and
use cases of ground robotic systems in nuclear power. Ilya’s efforts support nuclear and electrical
utilities as they undergo digital transformations for safer and more efficient operation.
